Expert Lecture on “Linked In- A platform for placement” on 19-04-2023
To aware the students about various opportunities available in industry and to connect with recruiters, an expert lecture was organized in the Seminar Hall of JCDM College of Engineering. On the occasion, Er. Ganga Singh(AP, Mechanical Engg) expalined the need of resume creation, profiel updation and making connections with industry people with the help of interactive presentation. He expolred the steps to create and upgarde profile on “Linked In” platform. A 2013 study conducted by “The Society For Human Resources Management” showed that 77% of hiring professionals are using social media in their search process and of that group, 94% are using LinkedIn, shared by Er. Ganga Singh. More than 60 students from all the departments of institute attended the lecture and benefitted from it. Dr. Dinesh Kumar Gupta, Principal appreciated the effors of Training and Placement cell for organizing the lecture. He also encouraged the students toremain updated with latest techniques used in industry. He further added that social media platforms are better place to get aquainted with the needs of industry and courses available to meet them. Faculty members from different departments were also present on the occasion. The lecture was organized under the guidance of Er. Janardan Tiwari, HOD Civil Engg and TPO.
